I definitely plan on looking into making the game available in some other languages, but since it's still somewhat early in development, that's a feature I plan on adding later down the line

I've never had a bug report like this. What device are you playing the game on? Android of PC?
That's very unusual! I don't know how they can be missing. Has this always been the case for you or did it start in a recent update? Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling the game can fix it? It's definitely not supposed to be like that!
I play the android version and I just recently download the last version. First time playing it, also about the new CG I think I misunderstood when appears it, and about the sprites they appear locked. So i'm gonna try uninstalling to see what happens
Good! The CG appears later down the line in the first night between Edwin and Resnick. Go through it all and it should appear, more or less of it depending on choices, but it always appears!
Do you mean the sprites are locked in the Memorium? To unlock those, you have to see the character's memory in-game, which you can do by clicking their highlighted name when it appears in the story! If you've never unlocked them, they won't show up!
Maybe it was the intension but I kinda miss the colorful text that is usually used with VNs. like make all people a diffferent color so its easier to follow. like bear is orange, wolf is blue and so on.
Essences are already bound to be colorful, so I think characters won't get colors, because otherwise it would seem like certain characters may have something to do with essence of similar color. Just my guess though.
I thought about doing this but it's hard in the format that Demons Within's writing is made. We'd have a very colorful continuous text! I hope that the writing's context and descriptions are usually good enough to help the reader know who is speaking, but I'll keep that in mind for the future!

the player acting as a lust demon who can only influence choices through spreading their own lust infectiously is a really smart idea writing wise as the player will probably be jerking off, and even in a porn game it's nice to see those details which hightten the erotocism of the game
I want to thank and compliment xou on implementing the ability to choose between being dominant or submissive, as most VNs really struggle with this. After skipping to get all the sprites, I realised how simple yet clever this solution was! 😋

I'm sorry, there are no planned specific character routes like some other VNs have! The story will move linearly, but the choices you make and what happens can affect some events in the future, as well as add or remove some scenes, so it's hard to tell exactly. We had a big branch on the story just now but I don't think we'll have too many of these!

Loving the game so far, and the latest update is really engaging and intriguing to where I am very interested to see where the story may go in the following updates to come. Fantastic work so far, keep it up.
On a more personal preference, I am really intrigued and eager to see where the story would go if the ambush with the bull and his bandits continued after Resnick gets captured. Like see what would happen if the Bull got what he wanted, and who the people who hired him and his crew to kidnapp Resnick are and their motives. I would love to see the outcome of that path. But that's more my own personal preference.
Overall I just love this little gem of a game and can't wait to see where it goes and where you decide to take it.

Yes, it is :) Up to Update 4, although a choice is presented, there was no content for one of the options yet, so you always fell on the same one regardless of choosing it or not!
As of the very soon upcoming Update 5, all choice paths will be present, and the stuff that happens if you choose neither has changed a little so all of it should make sense then!
Hi, I wanted to say that I found this little gem last night, and I was immediately hooked. It is a different approach. We, as players, aren't bound to do anything but I like the idea that we kinda have the choice to meddle or not.
Like the last public scene (Update 4 public). You can let Res to find out more or hinder him rendless with the intrusive feelings we would infuse him to get different information or funny scenes.
I'm totally invested to know more about the demon we as a player can control but sometimes the intrusive thoughts tell us otherwise. XD
As soon as I get my paycheck, I might consider following it on Patreon.

First of all, there are six demons/essences/whatever else they may be. And I believe story mentions that you can influence all of them, you just need to start with the one that resonates with you most.

In a game where I should feel objectively less powerful due to not having a character to control, I somehow feel the opposite. Very well executed concept that I can only hope realizes its potential.
It's not like you don't have a control over characters, it's just clearly stated that you're nothing but a faceless puppeteer, pulling strings from where no one can see you.
Faceless isn't wholly accurate, between certain irl grimoires, the silhouettes in the affinity wheel and descriptions in game we can presume our player character is a goat.
I kinda thought those icons are just way mortals are giving shape to indescribable immortal creatures without physical body. But you may have a point. We'll have to be patient to find that out. Also, maybe it's just me, but I think it looks more like a serpent.
I really find the game has a lot of potential, there is plenty of neat detail and it looks really visually stunning be it the characters who have unique style and personality in just their art or the world around them while also having a unqiue concept in you not being Ress but are able to influence him in some ways by playing around his emotions or those of others.
This update I find quite nicely done as it carries so many new possibilities for the future and how Ress and Ludwig will interact.
I am happy to see what is to follow, my biggest hope is that the different choices made on "Do I Influence him here or not" have a big effect on the story later on as this has so much promise story telling wise on the characters and how they interact further.
We're still early in the development of the story and anything I say here could change, but as of right now...
While there are plans for the choices you make to have consequences later on, some more than others, the story itself is planned to be mostly linear and not an extremely branching story. The later we go into the story, the more different consequences of previous choices we will see! I have a few planned and I'm sure many others will still come up. Mind that this can vary a lot and can be a few lines of dialogue added or changed in accordance to a previous event all the way to an entire scene that only happens under certain conditions.
I guess I do recommend keeping a save where you make all the choices you want to make as Lust regarding Resnick and those around him. :)
On adroid im getting a bug that causes the game to crash after getting out of the infermry in the bedroom when the player (the one you play as) is remembering something. Then it crashes ;‐;
Could you tell me after what line(s) of dialogue this crash occurs? That way I can try to pinpoint exactly where it happens and figure out why it could be the case.
I haven't heard other reports of this bug on Android but if anyone else experienced it I'd like to know and I'll look into it!
There was animated text at parts like these that I know could cause crashes on Android, but on Update 4 I added an option in settings to change animations to limited (which comes like that by default on Android devices) and doesn't show these heavier animations to avoid crashes.
From the screenshot I can tell that the setting for animations is off and there is nothing in particular that happens in that spot in the game...
I'm not sure how to handle these random crashes as I haven't received any other reports of them, but I'll dig around a little and see if there's something I can do in future updates as well

The game will feature a mix of animalistic and non-animalistic anatomy in that regard! Some species are just too unwieldy to go 100% correct with (like hyenas) and, therefore, we're taking creative liberty to set up the world in a way that we think will please people when it comes to that. I know a lot of people prefer humanoid anatomy as well over animalistic, so we're hoping that we can make things mixed with our choices of anatomy in a way that people can just gravitate more toward their personal preferences and have fun that way. :)

Well... we (aka Lust Demon) are kinda causing Ress more issues then helping him so I dont know if he would be pleased to find out we are in fact a Demon.
Pleasure, power, help in fooling/convincing the others and probably a chance to figure out how to disrupt Red Eyes' magic in exchange for being unable to keep dong in pants, yeah, sounds like a bad deal. I mean, in the future, you will probably be able to screw everything for Ress (and for yourself), but helping or not is still a choice and most players will probably help Ress (cuz he's sexy and it's just common sense) on their first playthrough.
Well it is true that the demons powers can be very helpful and in the future save him in lots of tough situations but so far we are reponsible for:
-Making him fall Unconcious during a Important Mission harming his and his teams reputation
-Made him overly Horny and played with his desires or his friends desires
-Are probably responsible for why those thugs wanted to kidnap him in the first place
-Are probably going to cause some sort of panic or distrust if anyone learns Ress has a literal demon inside him he can not control or keep in check that can also manipulate people around him. For Ress and this whole Order are kinda... very Anti-Demons for Good Reasons.
So he might be less enthusiastic at the start then we may hope... we will probably be able to convince him though after some effort
We've been forcefully summoned into fitting vessel, i don't think we're responsible for unconsciousness and kidnapping, that is entirely Red Eyes' fault imho. We and Ress both are just unlucky.
Horny, yes, but we basically are just digging out buried feelings. Manipulative, but not really harmful in this particular case.
I'd love to say "we just gotta avoid overinfusing Ress and it's gonna be fine", but you got a point there. Although, we are really different from Red demons, so we may or may not have some time to convince Ress that we're helpful and he can't get rid of us anyway.
Not gonna be surprised if Ress will accept us after something like "best hot time in his life" with partner of our choice. XD

How are all the men so charming? I wanna see more of Sam now, he's very handsome and reminds me of a certain other character I like. I also do like stoic characters in particular. I wasn't expecting to get into Ludwig either but he sure is adorable, and I can't say the mentions of his big belly didn't get to me after a while.
This update is a nice reason to enjoy Ress' priceless expressions once more. Not that i need a reason to do it, but it's still nice. I'd even say, expressions easily making Ress one of the best wolfs in the whole furry community IMHO.
This will definitely be one of my favorite VNs, I hope we can choose to give in to demonic nature for an "evil" route. I usually like to go the most selfish and evil path possible.

For now, the great music you hear in it comes from packs of music I have bought from various sources. Those are made specifically for game developers to use in projects. Some of it I have tweaked myself a little bit, though, so it's hard to just reference.
If I get a bunch more requests like this maybe at some point I'll put them together somewhere with proper crediting or something, but for now it's gonna have to be just in the game!

At the start, when we're introduced to Lust, was that by any chance inspired by Death Note? It really made me think of when we are introduced to the shinigami world in ep1 (specially the "dark" atmosphere).
I *have* watched Death Note, but it was so many years ago that I legit didn't remember there was something like that there! So I'd say, it's not exactly inspired, it's made like that for its own reasons, but it's a somewhat common look, yeah. :)
I'll probably set up something silly like a curious cat on Twitter or something to sometimes answer this type of small question. Either that, or maybe I'll encourage joining the community Discord server for the VN that might be coming soon... ;)

I thought it was a stylized goat head. Which makes sense because the goat represents Lust in the Ancrene Wisse

Well i updated my game and it occored less but i still get crashes at random points '‐' and it was "you remember..." here's a screen shot tho.

The furry community is so diverse, and the kinks so specific, that as creators, we can't always please every1ne, but I do believe xou've made the right choice to add a mix of dongs to appeal to a wider crowd :p I guess I just hate waiting to find out what them boys have in their pants xD the scene was still really fun regardless~! ;)
Well, some devs are making specific toggle in preferences for that, but it may be a bit difficult to implement. Especially considering memorium.

It's in the pipeline to add them, but it also depends on both budget for art and artist availability. We'll get there, though!

Well... we (aka Lust Demon) are kinda causing Ress more issues then helping him so I dont know if he would be pleased to find out we are in fact a Demon.
Pleasure, power, help in fooling/convincing the others and probably a chance to figure out how to disrupt Red Eyes' magic in exchange for being unable to keep dong in pants, yeah, sounds like a bad deal. I mean, in the future, you will probably be able to screw everything for Ress (and for yourself), but helping or not is still a choice and most players will probably help Ress (cuz he's sexy and it's just common sense) on their first playthrough.
Well it is true that the demons powers can be very helpful and in the future save him in lots of tough situations but so far we are reponsible for:
-Making him fall Unconcious during a Important Mission harming his and his teams reputation
-Made him overly Horny and played with his desires or his friends desires
-Are probably responsible for why those thugs wanted to kidnap him in the first place
-Are probably going to cause some sort of panic or distrust if anyone learns Ress has a literal demon inside him he can not control or keep in check that can also manipulate people around him. For Ress and this whole Order are kinda... very Anti-Demons for Good Reasons.
So he might be less enthusiastic at the start then we may hope... we will probably be able to convince him though after some effort
We've been forcefully summoned into fitting vessel, i don't think we're responsible for unconsciousness and kidnapping, that is entirely Red Eyes' fault imho. We and Ress both are just unlucky.
Horny, yes, but we basically are just digging out buried feelings. Manipulative, but not really harmful in this particular case.
I'd love to say "we just gotta avoid overinfusing Ress and it's gonna be fine", but you got a point there. Although, we are really different from Red demons, so we may or may not have some time to convince Ress that we're helpful and he can't get rid of us anyway.
Not gonna be surprised if Ress will accept us after something like "best hot time in his life" with partner of our choice. XD

I wanna see more of Sam now, he's very handsome and reminds me of a certain other character I like. I also do like stoic characters in particular.
I wasn't expecting to get into Ludwig either but he sure is adorable, and I can't say the mentions of his big belly didn't get to me after a while.
This update is a nice reason to enjoy Ress' priceless expressions once more. Not that i need a reason to do it, but it's still nice. I'd even say, expressions easily making Ress one of the best wolfs in the whole furry community IMHO.
Will we be able to pursue the commander? He is one sexy wolf.

I have a dream (and Patreon goal) of someday working with a composer to create some slightly more directed music for the game. For now, the great music you hear in it comes from packs of music I have bought from various sources. Those are made specifically for game developers to use in projects. Some of it I have tweaked myself a little bit, though, so it's hard to just reference.
If I get a bunch more requests like this maybe at some point I'll put them together somewhere with proper crediting or something, but for now it's gonna have to be just in the game!

At the start, when we're introduced to Lust, was that by any chance inspired by Death Note? It really made me think of when we are introduced to the shinigami world in ep1 (specially the "dark" atmosphere).
It's just common look for "voids", "limbos" or "lifeless worlds", i think.

I *have* watched Death Note, but it was so many years ago that I legit didn't remember there was something like that there! So I'd say, it's not exactly inspired, it's made like that for its own reasons, but it's a somewhat common look, yeah. :)
